Julia lives just north of the Scottish border. She is self taught and has enjoyed painting for the past fifteen years. She specialises in large vibrant pictures of flowers, particularly poppies, in oils and watercolours.

‘Incoming Tide’ (Oils) by Zhao Ping Song.

Zhao Ping Song, from Shanghai in China, is a professional photographer who enjoys painting in his spare time. Currently on holiday in this country he visits the Scottish Borders and uses his skills as a photographer to take the pictures that inspire his paintings. He works mainly in oils, and specializes in land and seascapes.
