EPTAS Arts. The gallery is situated just off the Town Square in the busy Scottish Borders town of Kelso. We are an organization dedicated to supporting local artists by providing an attractive venue for them to display and sell their work. Run by artists for artists.
We offer the following –
Venue or wall space hire.
Artists may hire the whole gallery for private exhibitions. This holds up to 180 paintings with display units for artefacts, 3D work or crafts exhibitions. Alternatively artists may hire an area within the venue for smaller exhibitions
Display space for individual paintings/crafts/3D work.
Artists may bring up to a maximum of eight paintings/small 3D work/craft work to the gallery. These will then be displayed in the gallery for a period of up to one calendar month. A display fee is charged determined by the size of items, and there is a commission of 25% on all sales.
Drawing and painting lessons.
We offer drawing and painting lessons – watercolours, acrylics, coloured pencils, pastels etc. Lessons are provided by a qualified teacher normally on a one to one basis. All ages and abilities, with complete beginners and those who think they cannot draw being made especially welcome.
Commissions.
We have over fifty artists on our books. If we cannot provide you with the painting you require we can almost certainly put you in touch with a local artist who will be able to produce a picture to your specifications. Any style, size, medium or subject.
